Name: Soh
Age: His body is in the late 40s of a success fattened nobleman.
Gender: Male
Race: Soern.
Description: King Soh inhabits the body of a 48 year old round nobleman. His face bears the crows feet and other definitive wrinkles of a face frequented by elation. A greying, grisled beard hangs from his face, and curly brown hair rests beneath his crown of ivory. He wears heavy open red robes over a black nobleman’s shirt and white britches. He does not wear shoes. He does not carry a weapon.
Weapons: King Soh is proficient with a heavy mace, though he had little use for such ability in the modern day. The people serve as suitable substitutes where combat, and physical force are required.
Personality: Ambivalent, and benevolent. Committed beneath exterior of whimsy. Austere beneath forgiveness.
History: The Soern are the native people of Soersk. Soh is the only known member of this race that remains active. His activity only occurred after millennia of forced dormancy. He assumes the form of human bodies that find themselves receptacles of a portion of his greater consciousness.
He assumed the role of passenger in the body Enu after the boy stumbled into his tomb in the Neve mountains, and took a massive portion of the boy’s unusual traits for himself.
After killing and assuming the body of Caedmon, a metamorphic individual - Soh began to orchestrate the fall of the modern Soersk society, beginning beneath the forest Oscello, in the Verloren, the city of the undead. He chose to collapse large portions of the city in on itself here. “To trap the smell.” He later explained.
This moved gave him velocity in Soersk’s political game because so many citizens were rather sensitive when it came to such things as their friends and family rising from the dead and rotting in ordinarily rot-free areas. Such an exsitance wasn’t natural and he proved himself like minded with the collapse of the cavern. Whether or not the undead were able to survive was irrelevant. There were still plenty of them, but they were no longer able to convene in a large, organized area completely separate from the rest of society.
A successful battle for Gabbiani gave him control of the country’s primary facilities for import and export. Several villages fell to the largest orchestration of hired bands of mercenaries in history. It was from the villagers, mercenaries, and several legions of imported soldiers that he was able to to raise an army capable of taking Comenzar.
Knowledge of numerous untapped veins of ore gave him the ability to pay for the services rendered. Over half of his standing army was unnecessary for further defense of his growing kingdom. He sent these back through Gabbiani to other nations promising to only need a small portion of whatever they could pillage and later tax.
His campaign ruined much of the farmland, and set fire to many forests and villages. The people grew thin and frail, and natural repercussions for such a stringent course of action left the land spiteful. Careful, and attentive actions were taken to properly ration the food through this period, and now, even as drought dances once more to the land he manages to guarantee food in everyone’s stomachs.
His borders stretch from the edge of the Ustione desert to the entirety of Salice forest and everything east of these. He does not control the desert, mountains or plains yet – survival is hard enough in each of these areas that he feels little to needs to worry about any rebellions of note rising from them.
Other: He can use Caedmon's metamorphic abilities.
