Weapons: Poisons, sleeping gas
Items: Gas mask in her pouch
Personality: She hates the sun. This much is a given because she hates the brightness of it. It goes along with her personality of being easily annoyed. She can't stand when people are all cheery for no reason at all or even with a reason to be cheery. This is what makes her annoyed the most at Chaos. Dark can be a tad bit sarcastic at times since she finds nearly everyone annoying. Another part of her is insulting people. It is like a second nature to her when she does it. When it comes to friends, which she barely has any or doesn't care enough, she will not always help. In fact, the only time she will help is when she gains something in the end. Perhaps if her life was also in danger, she would feel the need to help even more.
History: When Dark was born, her parents weren't exactly thrilled. They didn't want to raise a child just yet. Despite this fact, both had tried to raise her with a bit of care. She started to turn out to be a happy child without a care in the world. Anyone who came around her at the age of five would say she would a sweet little girl. Of course, that was before the tragedy struck. A plague came into the village they lived at. Dark was forced to watch her mother suffer from the sickness while her father watched, losing his humanity shred by shred.
A pale little girl with choppy black hair stood by a bed with yellow stains on the sheets. The smell in the air was that of death while hacking and coughing noises were heard. Her green eyes took on the sickly form before her. The form would not even be able to lift a finger if it wanted to. The skin was a sickly white that sagged off the bones. Dotted along the poor site were purple bruises along with bumps that seemed to be sliding off with the skin. Moving her gaze to the face, she saw the forms once beautiful silky black hair now tangled, stringy, and greasy as it lay splattered on the pillow behind the head. The face is what will burn her mind as she took it in. The eyes seemed to have sunken into the sockets as they looked out with a haunted pain look. The longer she stared, the more she wanted to escape the nightmare. She could not believe that this…this was her mother before her. How there was no one to help them. How her father was in the other room curled into a ball whispering to himself over and over that this was a dream. Bitterness started to curl into her stomach as she thought of her father being weak and doing nothing. When she heard a light wheeze, then silence, her eyes focused again on her mother. She saw that there was no more breath….that her eyes showed no more pain but the haunted look she had seen for a while was still there.
Her hands extended out shakily as she stared down her mother. They stopped just an inch away from touching her. She felt nothing at the moment…just hollow. Was it bad to feel this? Was her mother truly gone? Thousands of questions burned through her mind until they all stopped. A conclusion seemed to have made itself apparent to her. This was her father’s fault. If he could have done something…if he was by her side like she was…he could have done so many things. The girl withdrew her hands to her side as she turned to the door to the other room. Her mother should not die alone. Slowly, her feet moved closer to the door until she stopped by a dresser close to it. Her eyes looked at it hard with thought. Making up her mind, she turned and reached for the drawers of the dresser. Normally, clothes were kept in such furniture; however, her mother was an herbalist. Her mother would grow any herbs for the healers in their village, but she would also grow herbs for poisons as well. The girl learned all of them, but mainly the herbs used for poisons. She thought that if a problem arose and her parents need help…..she would take care of it for them.
Her hands shook as she opened the first drawer. She reached in and grasped a couple of herbs that would do the job. Her eyes looked back toward her mother and landed on the glass of water next to the bed. Closing the drawer silently, she made her way to the glass of water…shaking more and more with each step. Would she be able to kill her own father? Perhaps she was being too hasty. The glass of water was before her as her grip on the herbs turned crushing. No…no, she was not being too hasty. She was right to do this to her father. Crushing the herbs even further in her hands, she put them over the glass of water. Slowly, she began to tilt her hand as the crushed herbs began to fall one by one into the glass. Putting her finger in the glass, she began to swirl it around causing the color of the water to change into a green. Her eyes watched the mixture thoughtfully as the thought of the herbs she put into it came to her mind. Monkshood, Dropwort, Nightshade, and Hellebore so the taste will be sweet and the drinker will be numb.
Pulling her finger out, she wiped it on the side of her clothes. She grabbed the glass with both hands, shaking only a little.
She moved faster than she was before toward the door. She was afraid if she took any longer she would not be able to do it. When she entered the other room, her eyes locked onto the curl form of her father. She could hear his mumblings about everything being okay. Anger reared its head inside of her as she moved to him with purpose. She said softly,” Father.” She watched as he slowly stopped mumbling and started to look up at her. She held out the glass she had in her hand toward him. Her father looked at the glass offered to him and gave a small smile to her. He said in a hollow voice,” You are such a good daughter.” She nodded as he accepted the glass and started to drink from it. He looked at her about to say something when his eyes started to widen in realization. His mouth opened in a silent scream while his whole body started to turn numb and poison coursed through his veins spreading fire. She knelt before him as a smirk slowly made its way to her face. The sight before her gave a since of justice. He took away her mother…she took away his life. Before her could die, she said in a mocking tone,” You are such a good father.” Her name was Emilia. She died that day…giving birth to the name Dark.
Dark had lost her mind that day. She went to villages simply to poison others for her pure entertainment and dark humor. She started to lash out on people with sarcastic words if she got annoyed enough. Her art in poisons only furthered when she went into the mountains. However, she had heard an intriguing subject. There was an odd group crossing through towns. It was a girl of twelve traveling with an undead skeleton. The one who had caught her attention was the girl. She heard of how the shadows seemed to hug her and that she could summon a black dragon to do her bidding. Not that Dark truly believed in such nonsense…she went out in search for them and she found them.
Dark brushed her choppy black hair out of her face as she looked at the two in front of her. She could not help but think there was something that hated her in this world as the girl in front of her WOULD NOT SHUT UP. A scowl came on her face as she wanted to bash the girls face in. Darks eyes examined the girl more in front of her. She had silver hair that was short to her shoulders. Her eyes were as red as blood and fascinated Dark. How did ones eyes become as red as those? Apparently, the girl just realized that she was not listening and stopped speaking. Dark glared at her and said,” What’s wrong? Did your brain finally bust? Oh wait, I bet you don’t even have one.” The girls face before her dropped fast and Dark felt her trademark smirk come on her face. The undead behind her though did not find it amusing.
“That was not necessary,” he said like a father disappointed,” You should apologize to Chaos. She did nothing wrong except ask which way to go.”
“Oh yeah?” Dark said challengingly,” What are you going to do dinosaur bones?”
The skeleton did not say anything, rather looked at her with those sockets of his. Not that Dark would ever say it out loud, but it bothered her a bit. This caused her to go on a defensive mode but added a bit more scathing comments. When the skeleton did not respond to her remarks, she changed targets to ‘Chaos’, who was looking like a kicked puppy.
“Look at you,” Dark said with venom,” How weak you look and pathetic. No wonder you don’t have anyone else except dog bones over there.”
The skeleton was going to reply, but Chaos beat him by saying lowly,” I just wanted to be friends.” Dark gave her a look of disbelief. She must be kidding. After insulting her, Chaos wants to be friends with her? Dark glared at her saying,” Well, obviously your stupidity shows if you think I would be friends with you.” Chaos’s face looked like she was going to start crying. Dark watched as the girl reached into her pockets and pulled out…candy. She soon said,” If I give you candy, will you be my friend?” The hopeful look on Chaos’s face gave Dark a pause. All…who was she kidding, as if Dark would ever be friends with her. Dark knocked the candy out of Chaos’s hand and said,” Go drown in the sea.”
Turning to walk away, Dark felt a bony hand on her shoulder. She turned her face to the skeleton, who was staring into her eyes with his empty sockets. He soon said,” We are traveling to a place called Soersk. You are coming with us…whether you like it or not. You and Chaos, being twelve, will have bedtimes since you are still children. I allow Chaos to have candy since she loves the sweets dearly.” Letting go of her shoulder, the skeleton soon said in a gentlemen tone,” Allow me to make proper introductions. My name is Ganz and this here, is your new friend Chaos.” Dark couldn’t help but let her mouth drop. Did bone head just say she was stuck with them? She recovered herself to glare at him. She opened her mouth to say something nasty when she felt a body collide with hers. An annoyed expression soon came on her face as she realized Chaos was hugging her.
“Get off me or I will tear you inside out,” growled Dark. Chaos had listened quickly…but not without saying,” Okay, my new friend.”
Rolling her eyes, she responded,” My name is Dark, stupid.” Ganz smiled at them while Dark glared even harder toward his direction.
Dark soon found herself in a group that Ganz made sure she stayed for. They did separate the moment they reached Soersk, which she delighted in. Dark would explore the continent while actually missing Chaos to pick on. When they meet again, at sixteen years old, Dark soon found someone she hated even more…Enu. She found him annoying and could not stand the sight of him. In fact, Dark never wanted Chaos to go near him again so she would not have to deal with him. Though, when Soh was busy taking over, Dark and Chaos was busy hiding in order to fix Chaos’s problem. This, unfortunately, caused a link to create between them. If there is a emotion that is very high during that time, the other can feel it. This irritated Dark many ways…yet it has proven useful and helped in their process to get rid of Chaos’s infection. When Chaos went away on a ‘trip’, Dark set out in search of her…not that she cared.
